Is it possible to get a refund for a non-refundable ticket?
In the tariffs of the airline, you can find tickets of the type "Light", "Economy", "Basic" or "Promo". Tickets at such rates are much cheaper than standard ones, but if your plans have changed without losing money, it is impossible to get a refund for such a ticket.
However, there are a number of cases when the airline refunds the money to the client even for a non-refundable ticket:
- if the airline cancels the flight or delays it for more than 3 hours, compensation is paid to the passenger or the cost of the ticket is returned;
- if you have a medical certificate about illness or other force majeure circumstances related to your health, because of which you will not be able to make the flight;
- if the consulate of the country of destination refused you a visa, and you have a document confirming this refusal.
